I have been reading 'The Poet's Circuits' by Padraic Colum and recommend it to everyone-if ye can get your hands on it. It is divided into different circuits and headings such as: 'Women in the House' 'Monuments' 'The Glens' Colum based the work in the medieval circuit. info on here: www.poetryireland.ie/forum/showthread.php?t=592Also- strangely enough was in Barcelona last week where my host received a book entitled 'Poesia d'irlandesa' (probably spelt wrongly-and we opened it on-'El Misterio' by Douglas Hyde-'The Mystery'-) You have to go all the way to Spain to read a Hyde poem- Look it up (it's pretty good) apart from that , mostly I read women's poetry and writing. poethead.wordpress.com
