I try to write anywhere but usually end up doing it on buses and trains.

For some it helps but for me I prefer my own space to use as and when the muse is upon me.

Well, I have to say after reading that article that Writers write, but they ultimatly need to write without the influence of chaos around them. Organised or otherwise. Something which when I don't do really influences or sometimes takes over my drunken workings... some of which comes out as a fantastic (personal praise here) poem or absolute crap that a baby wouldn't even be proud off...
When something is experienced so strongly that you write about it, you don't care where your at, just that the event is something you want to write about... Ultimatly it's the resolve to focus on the subject matter at hand, and how much it means to you with which you will resolve with a fantastic affair or an ugly mess..
Just my 2 cents worth.
