This year celebrating diversity through poetry and the spoken word (Love Poetry Hate Racism) not content with events in cities throughout the world will be organising special events at home.
In Derry on Tuesday 28th April, Sandino's will host
DJ Venus Rollergirl playing the latest Dubstep beats alongside El Crisis returning to Derry after last years very successful LPHR performance. He brings with him his unique brand of Afro Carribean spoken word/chant poetry.
Talking Drum's music and chants hail from the rebel music of Zimbabwe and the group is made up of local and international musicians.
Scream Blue Murmur - local song-poets will also perform a short set of their material.
In the wake of the attacks on the Polish Community in Belfast and the divisive arguments around the slogan "local jobs for local workers" - celebrate diversity this year is a timely reminder that we need to campaign against racism and for tolerance and unity.
