A small crowd but nice atmosphere. The part of the evening which seemed special to me was when jane Bailey performed her pieces. She has not read for a while and it seems she has gone to a higher level of writing and assured mature performance. She welcomed us into her world and illuminaqted 4 story poems. That's it really..Jane is a gem in Belfast open-mic.

Jane is an amazing poet- she turns me on with her words, and is the only poet to make me cry at a reading.... she leaves me very sexually confused...

She ain't the only poet that makes you cry!!! I mean you cried at me for making you come up with and performing such an awful poem in bookies... it was that bad that you have forgotten that you cried at it! All joking aside Jane can be such a tease in her poetry. But a fantastic poet non the less. Shame I didn't make it down for the event.

God yes, Jane is on fire right now. As an afficionado of deeply sensual tapestries and tantric pastries of all sorts, I was very moved, if not to tears then towards wicked memories that make me smile and wince. Hurrah for all the beautiful losers undone by their own desires! She's no better than she should be.
