Well, I've been up all night hitting my head against a brick wall... Well, trying not to cringe as I went over the recording of the night's recording whilst editing out some of the quiet bits from the recorded session.
As soon as the recordings are available I would urge ya's to give it a listen anyway, as some new faces did get up and preform and they particularly went down really well, as well as being recorded well!
In my blind panic of getting the stuff together I forgot the one most important thing... my book of new stuff, so I had to rely on the stuff written in my pda as well as some stuff of the top of my mind. but with Colin and Gerard putting in a much better performance than was actually recorded, it turned into a rather good night. One thing that struck me was the turn out despite on my fault bad advertising of the event.
All I can say is that the recording does the night no justice but it will only get better as well the next night (13th June!) so if your interested and want to come along please do, but if you can't then you can always wait it out for the recording which will be promptly placed on the new site (it's being worked on atm) which the link will be left here so people get to know what it is for when it gets launched.
For anyone who couldn't make the gig but wanted to be at it...

Apologies in advance regards the recording from the gig. Some performances will be ruined due to bad balancing of the recording which I can't do anything about now so particular apologies go to Colin Dardis and Gerard Mc Keown as you got too loud for the capture of the mic causing some major disruption of the recording during your stuff (I did mention before recording that if possible to not get too close to the mic, didn't I? )
I'll see to it that future recordings will not have that happening nor the madness of the crackling and hissing in some places.
Enjoy this and please provide your feedback/comments!
You should be able to get the mp3 from www.drawn-out.co.uk/myh (also worth noting this will be the soon to be new place for MYH) by the end of the week but I have posted up a temp place for it in the meantime.
Poets who preformed on the night include...
Stephen Hollywood
Dale Mawhinney
Andrew White
Colin Dardis (apologies!)
Gerard McKeown (again, apologies!)
Damien Mulholland
Colin Hassard
Connaire Mc Cullough
If I've forgotten anyone, please let me know!

P.S : I will look further into trying to fix/erase the high noise levels for this recording, but I PROMISE it won't happen again for future ones.
